Find Books for in-depth or historical information.  History books are shelved in call #s D,E,F.
     Geography is call # G, Political Science is call # J, Law is call # K

Search the library catalog by:

  • keyword or phrase
  • author
  • title
  • subject
  • periodical title

Search example: Civil War [start search with the country] 
    Subject heading is U.S. History. Civil War 
    Subject headings listed on the detailed record define/broaden/narrow terms.
Find background information in Reference:  New Cambridge Medieval History in D, Congress & the Nation in J, Oxford Companion to American Law in KF
