Find Books for in-depth or historical information.  Books are shelved by call # - GV (physical education & sports), QP (physiology), RC (sports medicine)

Search the library catalog by:

• keyword
• author
• title
• subject
• periodical title

Search examples: kinesiology, athletics, exercise are subjects
     Subject Headings listed on the detailed record define/broaden/narrow terms
Find background information in Reference (same call #s) 
Encyclopedia of International Sports Studies in GV, World of Sports in RC

Journals shelved by title in current, fiche, film or back issues see - catalog for holdings.

Many journals not located at LCU may be in a full text database or at a local library or may be requested from another library (1-2 weeks delivery - see ILL info guide).

* CINAHL Plus: comprehensive nursing and allied health research (many full text
* Health Source—Nursing/Acdemic: full text articles from 500+ medical journals 
Health Source—Consumer: nutrition, sports medicine & childcare (many full text)

For physical education topics: Professional Development Collection

Any topic: Academic Search Premier  [select peer-reviewed]

Other databases may be useful depending on topics.
Few databases have all articles with text.
Content in databases may change due to contracts between publisher/vendor.
